We’re excited to announce the release of the new Latin America scenario for CountryManager!
This update provides refreshed country data, deeper sustainability decision-making, and new strategic opportunities for students.
The new scenario is available now and will become the default in Fall 2025.

Students now engage with the most current 2025 economic and social data, providing a realistic context for their market analysis and decision-making.

Venezuela: A New Strategic Market

Instructors can allow Venezuela to become available for market entry later in the simulation.
This presents students with a realistic emerging market scenario—offering high growth potential and significant risk.

Sustainability Decisions & Background Data

Instructors can enable low-carbon energy source options for the overseas plant.
New background data for each country includes:

  • Share of energy consumption from low-carbon sources
  • CO₂ emissions per capita
  • Proportion of deaths attributable to air pollution
  • Per capita solid waste generation

A new “Market Metrics” appendix helps students interpret the impact of background data and make informed market entry decisions.

New Dashboard Messages

The “stories” in the scenario, communicated through messages on the simulation Dashboard, touch on topics that are currently relevant—e.g., the increased involvement of China in Latin America and the re-evaluation of the USMCA trade deal. Those details might provide opportunities for class discussions.
