We’re excited to introduce the Interpretive Guide, a new AI-powered learning assistant for Interpretive simulations. It’s designed to support instructors and students by helping explain how the simulation works, what reports and results mean, and how to think about results. It draws exclusively from Interpretive’s official materials and is built to support learning without replacing the instructor or telling students what decisions to make.

The Interpretive Guide is designed to help users better understand the simulation experience, from the overall flow to decisions, reports, and results.
For Students
Understand each period without shortcuts.
It can explain how the simulation is structured, how decisions work within the simulation, how practice rounds differ from competitive rounds, and how to think about results. It helps explain concepts and simulation mechanics, but it does not tell students what decisions to make.
For Instructors
Role-aware support, including instructor-only details.
It provides information appropriate to the instructor role, including details students should not see, such as instructor-level information about simulation setup and available incidents.
Grounded in Interpretive materials
The Interpretive Guide draws from Interpretive’s official materials to answer questions in a way that is aligned with the simulation experience.
Generic AI tools can provide broad advice that does not reflect the structure or logic of a simulation. The Interpretive Guide is designed specifically for the simulation environment, helping users stay focused and reducing confusion.
This approach helps reduce friction, keeps users engaged in the simulation, and minimizes repetitive questions.

We’re also developing a new AI-generated performance summary for instructors, designed to make it easier to review team results, identify important recent changes, and see where students may need additional guidance. This feature is currently in development and testing, and we’ll share more as it progresses.
