Introducing Entrepreneur v4

LIMITED RELEASE · SPRING 2027

Discover Entrepreneur's Latest Updates

In Entrepreneur, students manage a retail clothing store, making decisions in inventory, pricing, marketing, and staffing. Version 4 makes that experience easier for students to navigate and simpler for you to grade.

What's new in Entrepreneur v4

In Entrepreneur, students take over an existing retail clothing store and make decisions in inventory, pricing, marketing, and staffing across up to 12 simulated quarters. Version 4 keeps that hands-on experience and adds a modern interface, a redesigned dashboard, a guided start for students, and less manual grading for instructors.

INTERFACE

A modern, customizable interface

Version 4 introduces a modern, customizable appearance, including dark mode, and a responsive layout that works across screen sizes, displaying compactly on small tablets and making full use of the space on large monitors. The interface is also designed to conform to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, supporting equitable access for every student.

GETTING STARTED

A guided start for students

A new onboarding process helps students get off to a good start. The interface walks students through introductory videos, their start-up decisions, and a tour of the simulation, so they can begin with confidence.

DASHBOARD

A redesigned dashboard

The updated dashboard conveys more at a glance. More metrics can be displayed, and a graph on each metric’s tile gives a sense of how that metric has changed over time. Metric details now include tabular data alongside the definition and graph, helping students connect their decisions to results.

NAVIGATION

Faster navigation and search

Every page in the simulation is now available from the left side of the screen, so students move between pages faster. A new search tool looks across page names and glossary entries to help students find what they need. Students can also dismiss decision alerts they’ve reviewed, and restore them later, to keep track of what they’ve already seen.

Less manual grading, a clearer picture of learning

Fully automated grading
The Forecasting, Staffing, Financial Statements, and Break-Even Analysis assignments are now graded fully automatically, with no manual grading on your part.
Scores that reflect learning
Calculations across related assignment steps have been decoupled, so a single early mistake no longer carries through and causes a series of incorrect answers.
Fresh inventory decisions each round
An optional setting resets the pants and tops purchasing decisions to zero each period, prompting students to reconsider. By default, purchasing decisions carry over from period to period.

Modernized advertising options

The advertising options students choose from have been modernized to reflect today’s media mix, spanning traditional and digital channels.

AI LEARNING ASSISTANT

Meet the Interpretive Guide

Entrepreneur v4 includes the Interpretive Guide, our AI-powered learning assistant already used across our simulations. It helps students understand how the simulation works, what their decisions and reports mean, and how to think about their results. Built only from Interpretive’s official materials, the Guide supports learning and reflection without telling students what decisions to make.
