Updates for Fall 2025

We’ve been working behind the scenes…
…and we’re excited to share what’s new in The Green Business Lab!
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we regularly enhance The Lab based on faculty and student feedback, as well as emerging trends in the rapidly evolving field of business sustainability.
These latest enhancements are designed to deepen your students’ understanding of sustainable leadership, stakeholder dynamics, and real-world decision-making—while also equipping you with more seamless facilitation tools.
Here’s a summary of the new updates: Student Website

1. Leadership Decisions: New & Expanded

We’ve expanded descriptions to provide more detail on project implementation, including enabling technologies and process steps. We’ve also reviewed and updated all links to ensure relevance and provide deeper resources.
Life Cycle Innovation:

  • Expanded biographies in the Stakeholder Directory.

We are piloting AI-enabled stakeholder engagement.

3. Skills Tutorials

Real-world executives consistently highlight the need for strong skills in change management, project management, and team effectiveness. In response, we’ve added targeted tutorials to help students build these capabilities.

  • Tutorials are brief, optional, and designed to increase awareness of how to apply these skills within the Lab experience.
  • Can be self-guided or assigned by faculty.

New Tutorials:

  • Change Management
  • Learning: How to make Lessons-Learned Stick
  • Project Management
  • Team Effectiveness

4. Sample Marketing Campaigns

Updated examples created by Lab participants, including:

  • Example 30-second videos
  • Example storyboards

5. Grade Tracking Enhancements

To help students better track performance:

  • A comprehensive list of all graded elements selected by each faculty member, with descriptions and grade weightings.
  • Creative Leadership Project scores are now included in the Company Decision Report.
  • Participant Reports for Debrief Questions and the CEO Report now display the number of points earned out of the total possible.

6. Updated Lab Navigation and Lab Demo tutorials

  • The revised screen recordings highlight recently added Tooltips and instructions.

Instructor Website Updates: 

1. Instructor Notes

Updated for all seven Leadership Decision topics. Each Instructor Note now includes:

  • A brief overview of the topic
  • A summary of the related student tutorial
  • A summary of stakeholder perspectives
  • A list of optional discussion questions

2. Updated Instructor tutorials

  • Instructor Navigation
  • Participant Assignments
